  • Fur Color Change

I have a white Pit Bull. I got him when he was 6 weeks old. Pure white. He's 3 years old now and his fur has changed to grey/brown in the last 4 months. Not his skin. The color change goes about half way down each hair. He looks dirty! I dont understand why this happened. Does anyone know? Will it eventually change back to white?

Hello Cher and welcome to the forum. This could be a natural change, check parents and grandparents of the dog and see if their coat changed colors, It could also be a sign of a medical condition or problem. I would suggest asking your vet of the cause of color change. Please post back as it may be helpful to other folks that experience the change of coat color.

This change might be due to factors like exposure to the sun, environmental conditions, diet, or even health issues. Typically, fur color changes are permanent, but consulting a veterinarian can help determine the cause and whether the color might revert. Regular grooming and a balanced diet can also help maintain his coat's health and appearance.
