    Bump on gums

    I've noticed the last couple weeks when I brush Gimlet's teeth, theres a bump between his top front teeth. It looks like it got a bit bigger over this short amount of time. Has anyone seen anything like this? The vet isn't concerned until it bothers him or looks bad or gets even bigger. Is the top gum supposed to have a little bump there?

    Kind of looks like an abscess but it doesn't look infected or inflamed. I would go with the vets recommendation and just watch it for now. If it's not bothering Gimlet that's fine if it does I'm sure it could be removed. Please let us know how things go.

      Thanks, I'll keep you updated. The vet thinks its a epulis. It could become cancerous if it keeps growing or damage his teeth. At this size, it isn't a concern. I feel like it should be removed if it can become a concern, but for now we're just watching it.

        So I kinda wanna laugh just cuz I was so worried about this stupid bump. My oldest cat has been in and out of the vet for an unknown infection that just won't go away. So the house has been stressed.

        Gim was playing like a chonky superball. I don't know how but he ripped the lump out of his face. It had gotten pretty big pretty quick. It was kinda floppy. So it's gone now!

            The bump came back and is pushing his teeth apart. The vet isn't worried, but also didn't really look at him. I am, but he's my baby.
